Career Day

Today was Career Day for the 7th grade. They went to BATC and discovered some of the career options they have. Here is Alex in his hard hat and safety glasses. He had so much fun. BATC really did a good job of giving them a lot of hands on experiences, with everything from driving a backhoe to receiving massages from the beauty school. Alex even won a few of the contests they had and got some fun prizes.
I told him this morning that I can't believe that in less than 100 days he will be 13!!! A teenager! Maya was listening to our conversation and when we were finished she said, "My gosh! You are big!"

Mom's Surgery

Today Mom left her family for a few days to have some surgery. Things went very well and she got to come home after just 2 nights. We are very grateful to everyone that helped our family, we know that things wouldn't have gone so well without all of the help.

Easter

Every year we try to tell the kids the Easter story using some plastic eggs. Each egg has something in it that signifies the Savior's atonement, crucifixion, or resurrection. We hope that they understand what Easter is all about, understand what their Savior did for them, and understand the wonderful miracle of His resurrection. This teaching moment didn't go flawlessly, but they did ask to hear it again.

Finally Spring!

It is finally warm enough to get outside and play a little bit. Today the guys got out the football and played some catch. Well, Ethan technically just joined them for the picture, but he looks good (especially with those socks)!

Easter Eggs

Today Ethan and Maya dyed their Easter eggs. Maya couldn't believe that it was alright to do this kind of stuff and make a mess. Ethan loves to do projects like this, he is very artistic. Alex thinks that he is too old to dye eggs now. He thinks it is more fun to hang out with his friends. We missed him, maybe he'll join us next year.
