Beautiful!

We got our first picking of strawberries today, and they are so good! Now it feels like summer has finally begun. It looks like we will have a good strawberry and raspberry year. Maya is the best strawberry picker. She looks so carefully at each one, making sure they are completely red. She gets upset when I put the ones in that have some white still on the ends. We are looking forward to a summer of fresh berries.

Ethan's "Late Night"

Ethan had Hyrum and Taeden over tonight for a late night. They had a lot of fun. I guess there is something about playing at a friends' house at night that is a little more exciting than doing it during the daytime!

Mornings With Maya

Maya takes her breakfast very seriously. If it is her lucky day Dad is home, and she gets oatmeal with blueberries, and of course orange juice. If Mom is in charge, it is either pancakes or cereal. She takes at least 30 minutes to eat breakfast, because she has so many things to say since she has been asleep all night and not been able to talk.

Camping

Alex went on an overnight camp with his scout troop. He took all of the initiative to get himself packed and ready to go, I just made him a tin foil dinner. He had such a good time, and came home exhausted. I hope that letting him go on these camps gets easier with time.

Nightgowns

This is a picture of Maya in one of her nightgowns. She got her first one about a month ago and couldn't believe how wonderful they are. Now she has several, and everytime we put one on her she says, "Oh! This is my favorite nightgown!"

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

We have had enough rain! Since school got out for the "summer" we have only had a few days that have not involved rain. The plus side to all of the rain is our garden is growing really well.

School's Out!!!!

School is over and we could not be happier! I really could not put enough exclamation marks in the title of this post to show how excited we are. The boys both had great years in school. They excelled and really worked hard. They deserve this break. Summer means so many fun things, and we are excited for them all.


We would have put a picture of Alex and Ethan here celebrating school being out, but since they have been out we haven't seen them much. They have been going to parties, playing at friend's homes, or having friends over. We do hope to see them sometime during the summer!

A New Shed

Troy felt like he needed something to do, and so he decided to build a new storage shed. Yes, it is as huge as this picture makes it look. It will be nice to have nothing stored in our garage anymore, though.

Band Concert

Tonight was the final band concert for White Pine Middle School. For most of them being beginners at the start of the school year, they really are pretty good. We, of course, are partial to the clarinet player. He's awesome!
