First Day of School

We knew that summer couldn't last forever, but we really wished that it could!

Canning and Preserving

We had such a great garden this year. It took all of us to get everything canned and preserved. We made strawberry jam, pickled beets, salsa, stewed tomatoes, green beans, and dilly beans. We also froze a lot of corn, beans, and carrots.
This is a picture of the kids cutting things up for salsa. They were pulling funny faces for the camera, trying to pretend that they were having a good time.

Mom, I'm Bored!

This was my solution for the kids when they were bored one afternoon. They thought that I had lost my mind, and couldn't believe that I was suggesting this. They had a blast!

Alex's Birthday

Today was Alex's birthday. We spent the day a little differently than we traditionally have on birthdays. Alex went to the Oquirrh Mountain temple open house for the day. When he got home we all went out to dinner, and then rented some Wii games. We had family over the next day to celebrate. This is a picture of Alex's new Trikke scooter. He worked hard and saved for most of it. Dad and Mom pitched in just a little bit, and he is already a pro at riding it.
