All Ready For Church

It is hard to believe that Maya is almost 3. She looks so grown up, and already acts like she is 13. She is absolutely full of attitude and knows what she wants. We love her so much, she is beautiful inside and out.

Valentine's

Ethan loves Valentine's Day. He loves exchanging Valentine's with his friends, he loves the Valentine's Tea at school, he loves the "love" letters that come this time of the year. He is truly a romantic at heart.

First Dentist Visit

Maya went to the dentist for the first time today. She was a little bit scared when the chair started moving, but she did great. The movies that they have going right over their heads help also. The boys had cleanings and check-ups too, and we got to hear the words that all parents LOVE to hear: "No cavities for any of them!"

Our Computer Guru

Maya loves to play Disney and Nick Jr. games on the computer. One day when I couldn't find her, I found her here playing her games. I hadn't opened them up for her and asked her how she did it. She said, "I just click on F and then click on my name." First of all, should a two-year-old really know about "clicking"? She had just been watching us click on Favorites, and then her name, where her games are stored. She can maneuver around really well, which is pretty scary. She always moves the toolbar from the bottom to the side because she likes it better there. It always takes me about 10 minutes to figure out how to move it back!

Our New True Blue Friends

Throughout our home we have 20+ of these scattered about. On Friday morning Troy walked into the family room to discover that the washer had been pumping water all over our home for the previous 6 hours. Water was everywhere, even pouring out of the lights downstairs. Now we are trying to dry it out using these very powerful and NOISY fans. Things don't look too promising for some of our basement walls. The cleanup company keeps promising that things will be back just the way they were, telling us we won't even know anything happened. We hope so, but it looks like that will not happen for quite awhile. There is a lot of carpet pulled up, and walls will probably need to be replaced. Luckily, the only loss of "things" was the hamper and some baseboard that Troy had just finished painting that was waiting to be put up. One good thing was that Troy was able to fix the washer, meaning one less expense for now. And leaving the washer running while I go to bed won't be happening anymore.

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's Day I wanted to let my family know how much I love them. When they woke up this morning they each had a basket with 14 slips of paper that tells them a reason that I think they are so wonderful. They get to pick one each day until Valentine's Day, and hopefully they will realize over the next 2 weeks how important they are to me. They all seemed to love the idea, and I got some great hugs.
